"During the pandemic, Sherwood Village Assisted Living and Memory Care faced a staffing crisis, with caregivers averaging 700-900 hours of overtime per month. To alleviate burnout, we initiated a runner program, hiring non-certified employees to assist with tasks like laundry and emergencies. We partnered with Academy on Demand to train these individuals, helping us identify culturally fit candidates and track their progress. As a result, we've reduced overtime to 100-150 hours a month, leading to happier, more rested staff. We continue to rely on Academy on Demand, which has helped us successfully address our staffing needs."
